Saigon Boat in Seattle

I’m a local Alki resident and have gone here a few times since it’s within walking distance. Pho was decent and spring rolls were pretty good. Location is awesome, but customer service is lacking and you feel a little bit like an inconvenience for being there. The place has a lot of potential and can really improve, if they put some thought into it. Decor needs improvement, since people want pho when it’s cold, and if it’s cold, you’re probably sitting inside.

BBQ Pork Sandwhich was delicious. The meat was perfectly grilled... moist and succulent, and the veggies refreshing and crisp on a lightly toasted roll. It was exactly what I was hungering for. Added a Thai Iced Tea and Shrimp Spring Rolls... More than satisfied. The service on the beach front patio was laid back, but attentative, and very courtious. Perfect for sunset eats after a hot and sunny day on the Puget Sound.

Cheapest food on alki, get the grilled pork banh mi and put hoisin and sriracha on it. Do it. Now.

This little Vietnamese place has some decent food and the price isn't that high for summer beach goers. Summer time parking is very very difficult. I say park on the North side of Admiral Way and walk.

CHECK YOUR BILL! Without an explanation we were charged $1 more each than was listed in the printed menu for two beers, an appetizer and an entree. We were alerted to the "mistake" only after asking for our itemized receipt, as only the total due was presented at the point of ordering. The owner then claimed it was impossible to refund the difference rather than the whole amount with her new Square POS system. The food here was OK but business ethics suffer, probably given the highly traveled location.

Very disappointed with the service. We were there on a Wednesday at 3pm. There was only 1 other couple in the restaurant it took 10 min to place our order and 30 min to get the food. They brought 2 of the meals out and then the 3rd came out 5 minutes after everyone elses. They forgot to make our smoothies and we had to ask them to bring them.A few minutes later they brought our smoothies and one was made incorrectly.They were not busy so there was no excuse for the horrific service.

This place is adorable! The owners are super nice, the food is good, and it's in a great location. We were even visited by Pumpkin, the cat :)

Visited early in the day during the Subpop 30th anniversary music festival. There were several full tables outside and one inside but the place wasn't packed. Ordering is quick but food to table was a little slow but the food is very, very good and worth it. Grilled pork is very nicely seasoned and flavorful. Sandwiches are nicely toasted. Soups are hot and tasty.

Pho is okay. Price is kinda high for what you get. View is unbeatable. I'm pretty sure when you order to-go that a large is exactly the same as a medium in every way. I even tested this by ordering one of each. I honestly couldnt tell the difference. Maybe save a buck or two and get the medium. Sandwiches are super tasty, but more expensive than other pho restaurants.

Even though they seem busy a lot, they got my food out to me in a timely manner! Friendly people & very good pho 😁

Completely respectable banh mi at a good price. Haven't had the pho yet. They've always been really nice when I've come in :) They have both Vietnamese-style pork banh mi, and Chinese roast pork (chashu) banh mi. Unless you have Maggi at home, get the Vietnamese style—the Chinese one needs a little salt.

The sandwiches are amazing. The bread is soft and simply delicious. Grilled pork is cooked to perfection and the veggies were crunchy and fresh. Yes- a little over priced compared to the Bahn Mi spots but well worth the extra buck (or two) because you can't find another Vietnamese sandwich shop for miles!

Tasty but I'm pretty sure it's closed for good

I ate here last night and I was really hungry. I got a chicken bahn mi sandwich. The chicken smelled funny and tasted like maybe it was spoiled or something. I just picked out the veggies and left most of the sandwich.

Food is pretty good though the service is not. When we went they were out of half of the appetizers.

I used to enjoy this place for it's comforting food and good prices. It appears to be under new management, however, and the quality and service has really suffered. The much reduced menu is a disappointment. Today I placed a to-go order, and when I got home my five beef sandwiches turned out to all be chicken. The owner refused to refund my money unless I drove back and returned the sandwiches still wrapped up. They've lost a regular customer.

Used to be better, there's room for improvement, but if you like PHO or Vietnamese food in general, it is still worth eating at because its on the beach!

Eat here instead of the flashy Alki restaurants if you want a good value and great meal.

Good Pho

Pho is not as good as used to be and less meat.

Very surprised to fine authentic beef noodle soup along the Alki beach.

I enjoyed the pho fo sho.

I'm Vietnamese and this so called authentic Vietnamese restaurant disgusts me! I know they don't care much about service since the owner will probably keep their tip so I let the bad service slide, but the food was terrible. There's nothing authentic about this restaurant.

I did not actually eat here but the bubble tea the Thai tea flavor was great definitely would recommend

It's a slightly sweeter pho, but it's very flavorful. Highly recommend this place.

Great chicken pho!

I ate here last Thursday and caught acute bronchitis as a result. I went back Friday (not realizing they were the source) and notice the elderly lady was sneezing and coughing. I have reported them to the appropriate authorities but I wanted to make sure to leave a review so people could be warned.

Lucky there isn't a 0 for a rating. The food was terrible. How did they get a 4.1?

A regular (2x/week) back in town after a year. Food quality down, prices up, friendly mother-daughter management gone. Sad.

We ordered the Saigon sandwich. The bread was baguette but the meat was very stingy and inadequate. Usually there are thin slices of braised pork belly as well as pork loaf and a healthy slather of pate. This one only had a few slices of the pork loaf. Pickled carrots, daikon, cilantro and jalapeno slices were in it, as expected. This place either does not know how a Banh Mi should be or is counting on the fact that tourists will not know either. This is Seattle, everyone knows what a Banh Mi should be like. Shame on this eatery. The spring rolls also lacked the sliced pork traditionally included in goi cuon. Can you tell that I am Vietnamese and am personally offended by this business's lack of aunthenticity? I live in San Diego and am a tourist here in Seattle. There is a Little Saigon district, to my surprise, here. This place needs to seriously improve and don't think no one notices.

A homey family run place with good food served quickly. Nothing fancy by any means, but a great location on Alki. I recommend the veggie pho, vermicelli dishes, sandwiches and the bubble tea. A regular spot for me and my family.
